This incredible book is one of the countless literary keys that I found on my personal healing journey. It has that timeless kind of wisdom that hits deep and hard, but with the greatest compassion.

The book is Adult Children of Alcoholics by Janet G. Woititz.

If you grew up in a dysfunctional home like me and witnessed any kind of substance use disorders, it’s a go-to recommendation of mine to anyone on their path to reclaiming wholeness, joy and acceptance.

Healing is a choice, and you will always be worthy of saying yes to it.

It hardly matters how long it takes you to get started- what matters is that you decide and then you move towards what calls you to feeling whole and worthy of wellness, again.

Confront the dragons. Get the effing gold.

Why choose peace and goodness whenever you can

The Peace and goodness that you create in your tiny corner in this world- your own personal experience- is an incredible gift to the whole.

Foster your peace. Create your goodness whenever you can, wherever you can. Each of those moments is a great gift to the world. And when you simply cannot, rest your heart and be gentle on you.

Your tiny corner reflects out. It continuously sings outward and affects all in ways subtle to the most magnificent.

A kind, peaceful, generative moment in your life matters more and reaches farther than you can fathom.

Peace to you and all you cherish.

Black Friday KoolAid- Don’t Discount Access to You

Don’t let these Black Friday ads low-spire you into selling yourself short when it comes to the company you keep during the holidays (or anytime, really).

Remember: there is an energetic exchange made with everyone we spend time with. The price/energy exchange to access you never needs to be slashed, diminished, discounted or bargained over. You no longer have to force yourself to spend time with people that continuously make you feel less than.

This year end time is especially precious; it’s actually potent! It’s a powerful choice to spend your time in the places + spaces that feel good and right to you. You deserve to spend your time well and with people that suit you- however traditional or nontraditional that may look to others.

Try doing a little something new to you this holiday season. Celebrate your choice to living more uniquely you. Be curious and playfully try new ideas out. You have full permission to create new traditions that feel wonderful and supportive!

You truly deserve to celebrate and feel celebrated with the company you keep.

New Favorite Free Metaphysical & Spirituality Audio Book Resource

The Master Key Society’s YouTube channel has quickly become a favorite of mine thanks to their fantastic library of classic metaphysical and self healing audible/readable books available.

If you’re a lit nerd like me you’ll also be overjoyed at seeing the beauty of the first editions that are oftentimes used for the reading! I also enjoy that they combine the visual book text with audio on most of the available books. I like to read along most of the time.

Currently I’m reading/listening to Initiates of the Flame by Manly Hall, but there are so many outstanding options like The Game of Life and How to Play it by Florence Scovel Shinn (focus on law of attraction and return + easy to understand teachings on mental energy).

I hope you’re doing alright, folks

How are you? Like really? The world is pretty interesting and can feel intense to say the least.  I hope you’re taking care of yourself the best you can.  When a lot of shifts and changes are going on at once, it can be time to get focused on our self care and nourishment.

When we are feeling stuck, depleted or stagnant it helps to step up our nutrition and physical, emotional, and/or spiritual support practices. Pick one or two areas that feel right to you, and go ham!

Let’s cover the basics:

  • FEELINGS/EMOTIONS Lean into whatever emotions and moods you are experiencing: the good, bad, ugly, funny, ironic- it all matters. Explore it if you can but always acknowledge whatever comes up. No need to shame it- just acknowledge the presence.
  • MINDSET Channel anxiety or looped thinking into useful therapeutic activity: journal, EFT or tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique), exercise, painting or other forms of artistry, dance (also totally art!), breath work, connect with nature outdoors, or allow yourself to unwind in a peaceful, accessible space of your choosing.  Please limit your use of alcohol or drugs, if you choose to imbibe at all. This is a time when clarity of mind is so helpful.
  • MEANING Consistently connect with what is soulfully meaningful to you. This could mean God, Goddess, Jesus, Kuan Yin, nature, the soul, the great unknown, the idea of peace and connection- whatever it is it is meaningful to you and that is all that matters. This could look like attending a place of worship in person or online, listening to healing music, meditation, prayer, pulling cards, gardening, cooking- whatever it is that lightens up your heart, mind and body: do it and do it regularly. Daily practices for the win! If you don’t have a practice in place, start researching ways people connect to the deeper aspects of life and see what speaks to you. If it sparks your curiosity or feels uplifting or exciting to you- you’re headed in the right direction.
  • CONNECTION Have people to openly, truly connect and share with. If you don’t have that at home, find it through friends or turn to connection spots online. The internet can be a great place of solace and connection for good hearted people looking for other good hearted people.
  • LIGHTEN THE LOAD Don’t forget to make humor, smiling, and laughter a priority as often as you can.
  • PHYSICAL Get focused on your physical wellness- a gentle goal of at least 30 minutes of movement in every day. Yoga, walking, Tai Chi, active cleaning, dancing or an online/in-person exercise class all are perfect ways to get your body going.
  • IMMUNE SUPPORT Practice your ABCDE’s daily.  I mean take your vitamins, sweet ones!  Get your vitamin A, B’s, C, D and D3, and E. Building up your immune system in stressful times is incredibly beneficial.  You can further bolster your immunity with things like colostrum, olive leaf extract, and oil of oregano. Health is one of the manifested aspects of our wealth/prosperity.
  • VITALITY LEVEL Eat fresh veggies and fruit daily, and get at least a few minutes of safe sunlight every day if you can. Living foods bring life/vitality to the body. Sunlight brings warmth, vigor, and focus.
     

Your feeling well can make such a brilliant impact in the world around you, especially when so many are focused fully on dysfunction and strife. It’s a lovingly rebellious act to care about oneself in times of intensity and change. 1st of the Month Abundance and Prosperity Boost: 5 Energetic Practices for Manifestation

The 1st of the month offers a special opportunity when actions and thoughts directed with appropriate intention can create *abundance and prosperity. This timing provides an opportunity similar to shouting through an energetic megaphone. Every action we create in our life brings about a reaction/response, and we can use this in our highest favor.

Why? The 1st of the month is a new beginning. It’s a new chapter, a new month. This is extra special when the first of the month lands on a Thursday like it does today. Thursday is ruled by Jupiter and is considered especially auspicious for matters of wealth and generosity.

The 1st of the month is a great day to:

☀ Clean or refresh your office and desk + the entrance and front door to your business and/or home. These specific places are symbols of and are energetically tied to where/how abundance and prosperity enter your life. Let them be clean and welcoming, and then watch what happens.

☀ Re-review or create your monthly focus and/or profitability expectations. This can be for both household and your work/business.

☀ Make time to do something that feels super enjoyable and luxurious to you- i.e. leisurely meal with a favorite person, a long bath, some satisfying shopping, etc.

☀ Journal and visualize hoped for win’s coming to fruition and how well you want these next 30 days to go

☀ Light a green candle and allow it to be a metaphor or symbol for the prosperity coming into your life. Green is for money and prosperity but also life, abundance, generosity and freedom. Try to snuff it out rather than blow it out if you can. No worries if not, and any candle color will do as long as the intention is there.

Guard your mood and your mindset on the 1st of the month the best you can. This suggested work is best done when in a neutral or better mood. The better the mood, the better the energy and expectations you’re putting out on these powerful days.
