Hey there, how are you doing? Are you anxious, feeling heavy, and/or overwhelmed with emotions or thoughts?
This world is a lot to take in for many of us right now. Be sure to remember the potency of self care and regularly practice your routines and rituals because they matter now as much as ever.
Your well being, your emotional state, and your spiritual needs matter on an energetic level. Feeling at least some semblance of balance and connection is a game changer when you are in the midst of a proverbial storm, and it contributes much needed benevolent energies to our world.
15 minutes per day (BECAUSE YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!) with the intent to focus on personal nourishment and whatever your emotional insights are surfacing for you to acknowledge is a non-negotiable energetic practice to thrive. This is the same medicine that contributes to being able to less painfully (and with more honor and awareness) endure the really tough gritty stuff that we are sure to meet along our path, too. It can shorten the duration of the discomfort, as well. This is NOT because you are bypassing feeling.
It’s BECAUSE you’re taking the time to feel. And being open to feeling deeply, knowing that the emotions will transition into new one as they’re meant to.
So… You think you are too busy caring for everything outside of you to make time for self care on the regular? Here’s your good news/bad news fact of the day: the focus and care that we pay to our own needs greatly expands our ability to give to the people, places, and situations that we want to lovingly impact.
You cannot share from an empty cup. And you can’t give much from a cup that isn’t overflowing.
